Yoga Beyond Movement.
Yoga with Gangaa is more than a studio,
it's a philosophy of presence, simplicity, and balance.
About Gangaa
My connection with yoga began long before my formal training. As a child, my mother introduced me to the practices of Vedhathri Maharishi, planting the earliest seeds of breath awareness, kindness, and mindful movement. She continues to inspire me deeply — still teaching yoga in India at the age of 62 with the same dedication and grace she shared with me.
Years later, while studying Physiotherapy, yoga reappeared in my life as part of our exercise therapy curriculum. I felt instantly drawn to it, not just academically, but as a complete and holistic system of well-being. That curiosity grew stronger over time and eventually led me to India in 2015, where I completed my Yoga Teacher Training under the Krishnamacharya yoga tradition.
Soon after, I relocated to the UK. Amid the transition — and with the arrival of my second child — yoga became a grounding force. Through consistent practice, I experienced profound improvements in my physical and mental health, which strengthened my belief in yoga as a lifelong companion.
I began teaching in 2018 and slowly built a small, supportive in-person community in Stafford. When COVID arrived, our group found new ways to stay connected and practice together online — something that grew more beautifully than I expected. Around this time, I also became a Chartered Physiotherapist, which further shaped the way I understood movement, healing, and long-term well-being.
Since then, I have taught prenatal yoga, chair yoga for older adults, workplace/industrial yoga sessions, and a variety of workshops. I also guide sun salutation routines to help students build strength, consistency, and confidence.
A key belief that guides my teaching is that yoga is for everyone. It is not exclusive to the flexible, the experienced, or the physically strong. Yogāsana is just a small part of a much wider tradition — yet it often becomes the doorway through which people discover breath, awareness, and inner steadiness.
I love how Physiotherapy and yoga complement each other so naturally. In my classes, I integrate physiotherapy principles through thoughtful warm-ups, mindful progression, and injury-prevention strategies. In my clinical work, I often weave in yoga-inspired movement, breathwork, and body awareness to support rehabilitation.
I stay committed to ongoing professional development and a steady personal practice so I can offer safe, informed, and meaningful guidance to everyone who joins me.
Looking ahead, I hope to combine yoga and physiotherapy even more intentionally — creating accessible programs that focus on prevention, progression, and building a healthier community. My aim is to develop a space where people can grow stronger, move with confidence, and cultivate long-term well-being through gentle, evidence-informed movement.

Transformation of the mind, perception and body is the goal for us, which we will reach through the practical experience of yoga.
